A couple is trapped on an abandoned ship lying still on the beach. When an abandoned and dilapidated ship called the Sea Bird mysteriously capsizes off the coast of Mumbai, a man is hired to close the case. But the horrifying stories surrounding the ship may have more truth to them than previously thought.
The first part of Bhoot, which is clearly a planned horror series with multiple installments, is a good film. But if you’re thinking of getting scared or scared, it will disappoint. The film only uses the formulaic jump-scare strategy used in most films of this genre. What works for this is the emotional depth given to Prithvi (Vicky Kaushal) and the grief that connects him to the ship and its traumatic past. The acting is very good. While the film’s visuals and horror elements aren’t particularly novel (so, not frightening), Prithvi’s fear is quite evident thanks to some brilliant work by Vicky Kaushal.
