Story
Christmas is the greatest achievement in human history. But when Rudy’s father left the house on Christmas Day 30 years ago, Rudy promised to have Christmas again every day until his father returned. Even after 30 years, Rudy is still celebrating Christmas every day. And despite all the Christmas cheer, Rudy still has no father, no future, and no friends. But Rudy is sure that Christmas brings out the best in all of us. Clarice, her co-worker at the assisted living center Moonracer, thinks Rudy is cute. Clarice is also a bit quirky. Lonely and desperate for friends, Rudy imagines that he is as cool as the boy he always sees on the train. One day, the quiet man drops his scarf and Rudy picks it up. He convinces himself that the scarf magically makes him even cooler so he decides to throw a Christmas party (even though it’s actually Valentine’s Day). A chance encounter with the train’s cool man leads Rudy on a crazy journey through his obsession with Christmas and the loss of his father – and the greatest achievement in human history to celebrate without having anyone with nothing.
