Story:
Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’, Haider – a young man returns to Kashmir upon learning of his father’s disappearance. Not only does he learn that his father has been detained by security forces on charges of harboring terrorists, but that his mother has an affair with his own uncle. Intense drama ensues between mother and son as both struggle to come to terms with the news of their father’s death.
