Story:
Mariyappan aka Mari is a fun-loving gangster with sidekicks Sanikkizmai and Robert aka Adithangi (Punching Bag). Mari is chased by a “lusu ponnu” (crazy girl) auto rickshaw driver Arathu Anandi, who is in love with her. However, try as she might, Mari doesn’t give him a second look and constantly shows her her annoyance.
In a parallel story, Gangadhar Bija (calling himself Tanatos-the god of death) is shown escaping from prison after killing two police officers, with the cell walls dotted with the words “Kill Mari”. He is out for revenge, as his brother, who was a defense lawyer, has promised to release Bija from prison. Unfortunately, her brother is killed at the hands of Mari as the former tried to molest Anandi’s elder sister. This is the reason why Anandi is in love with Mari.
