Mahesh Deshmukh has joined the armed forces of the country so that he can serve the country with honesty and patriotism. During his college days, he gets into a fight with his fellow-collegiate, Mohini. A bet between his friends and himself ends with him falling in love with Mohini, who later learns that he has really fallen in love with her, and she also takes revenge. Mohini’s father is an alcoholic and wants Mohini to take up dancing and prostitution so that she can get her daily dose of alcohol. Mohini attempts to take refuge with Mahesh, however, circumstances complicate Mahesh to such an extent that he is arrested, charged, and sentenced to live off the limits of Bombay city. When Mahesh returns, he is not the honest and patriotic Mahesh, but a gangster named Munna, who has several old scores to deal with.
