Rakesh lives in Rangoon with his father and younger brother Madan. Unfortunately, Madan falls in with a bad crowd and steals the family heirloom, a dragon statue, and some money before fleeing to India. Tragically, Madan was found dead under the Howrah Bridge in Calcutta. To solve the mystery behind his brother’s death and retrieve the precious idol, Rakesh travels to Calcutta. His search takes him to a busy hotel run by a man named Uncle Joe, where a beautiful dancer named Edna performs nightly. Rakesh finds himself attracted to Edna and confides in her about his mission. She agrees to help him. During the investigation, Rakesh learns that a man named Bhiku witnessed his brother’s murder, but Bhiku vanishes before he can talk to him. Determined to find Bhikhu and apprehend his brother’s killers, Rakesh continues his investigation. He navigates the dangerous criminal underworld of Calcutta, making some allies and enemies along the way. Rakesh’s search eventually leads him to the truth behind Madan’s death and the whereabouts of the dragon idol. Meanwhile, his growing feelings for Edna become complicated. Will Rakesh be able to solve the mystery, recover the family heirloom, catch his brother’s killers and win Edna’s heart? only time will tell.
